History of KT
Seman's Son AB (Beezer) joined the agency in 1951 bringing the number of employees to four.
Ted Tedesco opened Tedesco Insurance in 1970. In 1971, Ted and AB merged
Labor Day weekend of 1972, Beezer died of a heart attack in MN. Ted & Beezer had a Buy & Sell agreement in place and Ted purchased Beezer's share from his widow, Annie Knapp.
In 1978 the office location moved from 616 Kellogg to 414 Northwestern. Because of growth, an addition was built allowing for more office space in 1988.
In 2001, Ted retired from the insurance industry and sold his share of the business to Brian. That same year Brian also purchased Gaarde Insurance from Arnie Gaarde.
In 2007, Brian purchased the PCI building located at 627 Main Street,
Ames, Iowa. Construction began on
On January 28th 2008, Knapp-Tedesco Insurance opened its doors at it's new location. We currently have 13 employees available to serve your insurance needs!
